Scale models, prototypes and small runs, 3D printed

Have a prototype made, a small scale model or a run of one to fifty units: for architects, developers, board game publishers and businesses that do not need a thousand units. We print in Wijchen in resin, up to 127 × 80 × 160 mm per part; larger pieces come in parts or on request in FDM up to 250 × 250 × 250 mm. You request a quote without an account, with the sizes and quantity you need.

the core

One to fifty units, where the rest starts at thousands

Injection moulding only makes sense from thousands of units and hand-painting does not scale. In between there is a gap: five presentable units for a Kickstarter, twenty for a trade show, one scale model for the showroom. That is exactly what we do. No minimum run, no mould, no set-up costs to spread over a thousand pieces.

1 to 50 units · no minimum run · no mould

colour

One colour per print, more colours per piece

Every print is one colour: resin tinted or raw grey for painting, or on request FDM from a palette of solid colours. If a piece needs more colours, we print the parts separately, each in its own colour, and they click together into one piece afterwards.

We do not offer colour changes within a single print: it wastes purge material and the result is rarely clean. What each machine can do is listed under the machines.

property developers

Scale models for the showroom

A physical scale model in the sales office sells homes. We print it from your BIM or CAD model; in resin 127 × 80 × 160 mm fits per part, so a larger plan comes in parts or in FDM on request.

architecture firms

Study and presentation models

Massing studies and presentation models with detail, at small scale: each part up to 127 × 80 × 160 mm. You supply the model, we make sure it prints.

board games and Kickstarter

Presentable units, before the print run

Five to fifty pieces for the campaign video, reviewers or a trade show. No mould and no weeks of painting.

how it works

01

Request

You describe the project and attach what you have. No account needed.

02

Quote

Price per unit, lead time and what we need from you. Quote usually within two working days.

03

Print-ready file

We check that the model prints, or we make it if you have no file.

04

Sample

For series, one unit first for approval, then the rest.

05

Delivery

Shipped, or collected in Wijchen by appointment. Repeat orders are faster: the file is ready.

How long it takes depends on size, material and quantity; we state a lead time in the quote and keep to it. For series we print one sample first. Design work comes on top and is listed separately in the quote.

for a quote

What we need

  • The 3D file (STL, 3MF or GLB), or drawings and photos if there is no file yet
  • Number of units, or a range
  • Size: the height, or the scale of the model
  • What it is for and what it has to meet (showroom, trade show, functional)
  • Deadline or trade show date
  • Which colour or colours, and whether painted or unfinished is fine

No file yet? Our modeller makes the model, with two revision rounds. How the design service works.

small company

What we can and cannot do

Huedcast is small: 4 printers, one owner who prints and runs the shop, and a modeller for the design work. For one to fifty units that is fast and sharp; for hundreds of units it is not the cheapest choice, and the quote says so.

We do not have reference images of business projects yet: this route is new. Ask for a sample and see for yourself what the machines do.

No account needed. You get a confirmation by email and then the quote; you pay nothing until you approve it.

Do you already have a file?

3D files (STL, 3MF, GLB), drawings, photos or reference images. Up to 6, 100 MB per file.

You supply a complete file, so this is print work: the quote is the agreement, no design terms needed.
